If $35 is your budget, they are probably worth it at this price. I use them as a daily driver with my PC for non-critical music listening and YouTube watching. No gaming, so I can't comment on that. For non-critical listening they are fine and comfortable enough although the sound is too muddy for my taste. The muddiness may be preventing an ear fatigue. Razer Kraken Tournament Edition sound much clearer in comparison. Overall not bad since I've tolerated them for two years or so. Or maybe I am just too cheap to spend more on a better/different set.
One major annoyance on my copy is the audio disbalance between the right and the left channel. If I turn the volume control just slightly on the right earcup, I can see an obvious change in the sound in the right channel. So definitely check that when you open yours. If it has that problem, return/exchange it right away.
