How are these games? They seem interesting but I never played one.

Originally released on the GBA and DS, Phoenix Wright is about solving mysteries related to court cases and debunking the opponent's testimonies. There's a bit of thinking involved, but when you do find the flaw in the testimony it's satisfying.

This is an adventure type visual novel, which means that you explore certain locations in search of clues related to your case, and talk with characters to progress the story. If you are ok with reading, I would highly recommend it.

There's also two more trilogies if you can't get enough, like the Apollo Justice Trilogy, which is a continuation of this, and the Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, which moves the setting back in time to 19th century Japan and England.

What's your favorite game in the series?

I'm waiting for the other trilogies to go on deeper sales like the original (Apollo Justice came out early this year), but my favorite in this trilogy is split.

The fourth case at the end of the first game (PWAA) was really good, but Trials and Tribulations (3rd game) is a fan favorite and also my favorite since they tried experimenting more with the gameplay compared to previous entries.
