I bought both. Deciding to go with the g16... just because of the cherry keyboard. It makes a big difference for me. If that doesn't matter for you go with the alienware as the power brick for the g16 is heavy as the laptop (not kidding). The alienware is more portable

Well, the OP's link was showing as out of stock on Dell's website. However, navigating to the product page independently, I was able to place it in my cart. <shrug>

Many thanks to the posters for the idea to split payments across AmEx cards to stack the credits. That and 15% CB should net this under $1k for me. Super sweet deal. Thanks SDers!

By the way, it took almost an hour for the 10% off sign-up email to come through. So patience is required. Big Grin

How did you stack the amex credits? I can't do it on two different cards because it says already added on other card
