Why such a massive price drop? My instinct when I see products drop so much suddenly that there is a problem. I realize price reductions happen with electronics but less than half?

One of those coupons expired and a new one brings it down to the same price. It's the same deal but with different coupons.

I view the Lenovo (and most computer manufacturers) list prices the same way I view Kohls list prices - they are pipe dreams that were never intended to actually be sold at (but they will gladly do it when they can), but instead provides for a "BIG DISCOUNT" to entice people to think they are getting amazing deals.

Battery life is insane! I fully charged mine at around 10am, it is 7:20pm and still have 35% of battery life, with regular use web browsing and some audio and video editing.

Note: Mine is upgraded to Hynix Platinum p41 2tb storage, I also use Process Lasso set to Balanced: Better Battery-Life Overlay (probably unnecessary but still want to bring to your attention)

Don't forget to use id.ME at the bottom of page for an extra $~30 and check CB, sometimes you can find 10%

ALSO AMEX has a Lenovo offer $75 off $750+ - targeted

Any idea what the return policy is for this? The wording on that website is confusing. I bought 1 unit and I'd like to open and make sure I like it before I keep it.

Just a guess but... No one is upgrading to the 8840 laptops since it's the exact same as the 7840s. In the mean time they have new stock coming out next month with an actual upgrade in the Zen 5 processors.

What accounts for the extra $300 price? Just the ability to add more ram? I see 16GB soddered laptops for $650 with same specs.
