Stay away from "gut health" books. Almost none of it is based on any actual science.

The gut health stuff is pretty universal advice but it is worth repeating or absorbing through whatever means you prefer. Avoid processed food products and fast food, which is what most of you eat each day btw. Buy organic produce fresh from the local farmer's markets. Get grass fed beef, wild caught fish and anti-biotic free chicken meats. Replace one meal a day with a green smoothie or similar to lose weight without really trying. Then add in some intermittent fasting. Count calories. Read food labels. Understand there's nothing natural about the words "natural ingredients" when they are listed on a food's ingredients label. Non-GMO is king because in many people GMO foods will eventually cause inflammation of the digestive tract. I'm sure most already understand that 'Healthy Choice' frozen meals are not really healthy but I bet some of you don't read those food labels or don't understand them. Books like these can help fill in those knowledge gaps.
