Great drone. Bought last cheap deal with the fly more pack. I am far from an expert but a huge upgrade from my DJI spark.
The screen is very worth it too.

Have been very tempted by the screen remote for quick setups. But isn't the problem that there is no cellular data in the field with the screen remote so you won't get updates or see a map or all the other data-linked info you'd get from your cell phone?

Just connect the DJI-RC to the hotspot of your phone.

Been flying for 9+ years mostly for fun but lots of professional jobs as well. I went from a Mavic Pro to the DJI Mini 3 Pro with RC remote. Setup time is way better, just turn the hotspot on your phone on, connect the DJI RC to the phones hotspot, and fly. It's been a way better setup than using your phone in the controller.

It really isn't a downgrade, but my Mavic pro camera is dead and would've cost more than the Mini 3 Pro to repair. Mini 3 pro has a better sensor, 4k options and allows me to fly internationally with no trouble.

The Mavic pro really was only better in sport mode or high wind situations, neither of which are great cinematically.

Do you need to login into the DJI app or can you use it completely off the grid?

I think for DJI drones with phone remote you need to login at least once every 3 months and they could potentially block you from flying if government comes down on DJI
