Don't love the Wi-Fi issues these import devices have. Not being able to connect to 5ghz is not great

I bet that's something that most would overlook or not even think to consider. That would suck if it can't connect to 5ghz because the WiFi standards of whatever region it came from may be different.

No US warranty either. They will replace joycons if there's an issue, however.

how do you know that they will replace joycons if there is an issue? That is the biggest blocker for me buying this.

I'm going off what others have said who had purchased the Asian model then had joycon problems. I think the joycon warranty is a separate thing. Sort of like a goodwill repair that Nintendo does since they've admitted that the design is utter shit like all other oem pads that don't use hall effect joysticks.

It will connect to the 5ghz if you're using or change the channel to the higher channel.

The work around is to mod it with a modchip, extract the prodinfo.bin and add the missing information from a prodinfo.bin from a NA model. This will make it work with the lower channel 5ghz.

I guess you've never bought a console before, since even ones that are sold here give you the option to choose whatever language you want.

Bought the colored one from here without issues. It said JP version but I never had o change the language. No wifi or joycon issues. Was able to add 2 more joy cons without issue.

This ad is misleading because not only is the price way-off but this is for the "import" version and from a shady non-reputable seller that's not Walmart.
