Best Buy has the 4070 super configuration for $1499. Is the 4070 ti super worth the extra $200?

I, too am wondering this. I purchased the Lenovo Legion Tower 5i Gen 8 (Intel) with RTX 4070 Ti Super deal and after everything, got it for like $1620.
Other than this having a 2tb hdd vs 1tb hdd, wondering how this is better?
maybe it's all the talk about the intel processors having shut down issues?

3 reasons:

1. 13th and 14th Gen high-end Intel processors are having thermal issues.
2. 7800x3d is a vastly superior future proof chip. Especially from a thermal standpoint, but also for gaming.
3. This is a more upgradable system with AM5 architecture giving it atleast a 4 years of upgrade cycle. Also, it has a standard manufacture motherboard, which should ease drivers and support situations.

lol #2 is false. the 7800x3d runs par with the i9 (much more expensive chip) on gaming. but i9 destroys it on productivity.

analogy is 7800x3d was built for gaming and is the top gaming chip. i9 is built for everything (but does have the thermal issues stated) and its gaming ability is around the same with the 7800. what you get with the 7800 is less power needed and much better value.

Just to be clear, nobody should be buying 13th or 14th generation Intel chips. There are hardware flaws that result in crashing and early death of chips. These flaws are not fixable. i9 and i7 models suffer the worst. Also, 13th and 14th gen are on a dead socket while AMD has already committed to the AM5 socket until 2027, meaning the next 2 cycles of AMD chips will just work with your current motherboard.

Also pulled the trigger on this, by my math, (after tax) this is minimum $200 less than I could build it myself, assuming the unlisted components are the cheapest options. (excluding part bundle deals as there are some that would bring the price down to pretty much break even)

Configured the part picker as closely as I could using the cyberpower site listing though it will not be exact.

I don't get it. You claim #2 to be false but then go on to prove it is true...?
