Deal Instructions:
  1. Go to the store page linked here: https://drop.com/buy/drop-hifiman...headphones

  5. $10 discount will be automatically applied in cart
  6. Final price should be $79 + Free Shipping in the US
Specs:
  • Headphone type: Open-back
  • Ear coupling: Over-ear
  • Drivers: Dual-magnet planar magnetic drivers
  • Sensitivity: 91 dB
  • Impedance: 25 ohms
  • Frequency response: 20 Hz – 20 kHz
  • Spring steel and hand-stitched protein leather headband
  • Focus-A hybrid ear pads
  • Adjustable sliders
  • Steel gimbals with black oxide finish
  • Cable: 4.9 ft (1.5 m), detachable
  • Plug: ¼ in (6.35 mm)
  • Weight: (420 g)
The he-x4 is essentially the chinese (non-stealth magnets edition) version of the international he 400se with a different headband. At $79 it's a moderately better value than the $30 more expensive $109 he 400se, which has stealth magnets, the standard hifiman headband, and slightly better sound quality. If you're looking into an entry point into true audiophile quality open back headphones, this is as cheap as it gets and an excellent value. Keep in mind that you will absolutely need an amp for any meaningful eq.
