Oooof, I just lost my Wingman I've EDC'd on my belt for 4+ years and I was going to replace with a Surge or an Arc but this is so tempting... Good deal.

Ugh, I always get tripped up by Leatherman's unfortunate name for this particular model. I've been a multitool user long enough to remember a mini multitool Leatherman used to offer called the Squirt P4, sometimes known simply as the P4. I keep thinking this is a "free" P4 that comes with the purchase of some larger Leatherman model.

Seems like a decent deal, OP. TU.

Oh, and @rambojew: I have a Wingman that I misplaced for a couple of years. During that interval, I bought a Wave as a replacement. Besides being shocked at the price ($90 at the time, 3x what I paid for the Wingman), I couldn't help but notice how much heavier it was. More solid construction/better materials I'm sure, but it was heavy enough that I didn't EDC it like I did with the Wingman. When my Wingman resurfaced, I realized I actually liked it better overall than the Wave. Hersey, I know, but bear that in mind as you look for a replacement.

The Wingman was a great, affordable multitool.

Over the years I've EDC'd many knives and multi tools. At the end of the day, I've found nothing that can compete with the small and simple Swiss Army Knife with scissors, a screwdriver tipped file, tweezers and a tooth pick. That's not say the 6 or so Leatherman tools in my collection don't get used occasionally, they are just too bulky and bothersome for everyday carry.

Solid tool. Decent deal.

I have the new Arc tool, and a Surge, as edc's depending on tasks expected for the day, I'd be grabbing this strictly to feed my ridiculous multitool/knife/flashlight addiction. Adding this before/instead of a Wave+ seems worthwhile if only for the pocket clip.

I'm trying to be strong here....

Picked up a wingman way back in the day when it came with a leather sheath and they were being cleared out of home depot for under $20 after black Friday. I think I got mine (one one for my dad, uncle, and buddy) for $15.

Those days are looooooong gone. But the fit and finish of the "over $99" Leatherman tools vs the "sub $99" used to be immediately apparent.

Moved to #1 on "Amazon Best Sellers [amazon.com]"list in multitools...

I want one but I just picked up Harbor Freight's Gordon wave clone and can't justify it, even at this discount. But I need a backup right?

Wingman bros 4 lyfe. I still use my home depot black friday wingman all the time. It's just got the most useful tools without the bulkyness of having two types of saw and a screwdriver set or whatever else is in the Wave.

Same here. In our defense, it really is a dumb name.
