If you're looking for a 55", I agree. Best Buy currently has the 55" Q5 on sale [bestbuy.com] for the same price as the 55" Toshiba.

i have a toshiba with alexa built in and i hate it. i'm unsure what model, but i really want to throw the remote at it regularly. it's slow, some apps won't open and it shuts off on occasion.

My ps1 has a hard time displaying anything on these newer TVs because the graphic display max is so low, the tv has a "minimum" display usually set that basically makes it not display at all since it doesn't reach it's threshold.

Would this tv work for ps1?

You really can't base the performance of an entire platform on one example. I have a 65" Hisense Google TV I bought about 4 years ago via (naturally) a deal here. Good picture but the UI is so slow, we use the TV with an external Roku Express. But then last year I bought another Hisense, also with Google TV (different model, obviously), and the performance on that one is beyond reproach. The same should be true for Fire TV models.

I've never heard of this. Composite video is the same (essentially, since it's an analog signal designed to work with all composite devices), whether the source is a DVD player, a VCR or a video game. Any TV with a composite video input should accept the output from a PS1. If its built-in input doesn't accept it, you can get an inexpensive composite to HDMI adapter.
