The Q7 Max has a better mop(although both performed poorly) and better mapping and layout features. Ultimately we decided the Q5 worked for us better and was cheaper. Researching robot vacuums was exhausting.
Smoking hot deal
Suction is great. Gets all our cat hair and stray litter every time. Mop function works great on our hardwood and cork floors.
Honestly only thing I wasn't impressed with was suction on area rugs in our old house. Hope this helps.

I think the j7+ has superior avoidance. I currently have a roborock s5 but I always have to remove big things on the floor first since I have a kid. It would be great to just let it run on a schedule without me being involved.
