For those who might have had this in the past, the $250 credit is no longer a statement credit but a voucher to use in the Capital One portal. The portal is run by Hopper and is absolutely terrible for searching. If you search for 3 people in 1 room and you will get rooms with one bed and an occupancy limit of 2 people. There is also no way to have it sort to include additional fees and taxes - you just get the base rate until you select your room and then they add all the other charges. Even if you're using points, you get charged additional points at reservation to cover the tax. There can be a limited selection of hotels in some areas, with many common brands missing (compared to Booking or Agoda, or even the major flag portals like Bonvoy or Hilton). The prices are nearly always higher in the Hopper/CapOne portal than one of the major 3rd party (Booking/Priceline/Travelocity/Agoda/Expedia/Kayak meta) site for both hotels and cars, and ofter more expensive than booking direct. IMHO, if you're going to roll the dice booking 3rd party, you should be getting a better rate. If you use points for other than travel (statement credit) you get 1/2c per point, so it really is a travel-centric reward system. /end rant

Other than that it's a decent card and the Eno one-time/one-vendor card numbers are very helpful.
I have had this card for a year and there has not been a single deal or opportunity for the points.
Same. 800+ credit score and got rejected twice.

Sorry, but I have 2 newbie questions:
1/ "within the first 3 months from account opening" - It's counting from the time the card is approved and sent to me or from the time I activate and start using it?
2/ If I spend more than $4000 in one or two months and paid all, can I receive 75,000 bonus miles right away or I have to wait after 3 months?
Thanks for your prompt replies. I appreciate it.

(1)It counts from when you're approved. (2) the bonus can take up to 2 billing cycles to show up

Can you take these points to flying blue or is the other 90k card better?

Same thing just now - 820 credit score and I've even had Capital One for years up until about 2 years ago and have never been late on anything in my life - or ever declined on anything. ha ha

Just got this as the reason. Chase is much friendlier on bonuses!

Based on your application information, you have previously earned a spend bonus on this product

Website says you have to wait 4 years before you can apply again. ha ha ha ha

820+ score, has quicksilver card for more than 10years. Denied. My previous venture cards was closed ~52 months ago. So I got the bonus more than 60month ago. Will see what is the reason.

Same experience here. I tried for several days after reading the comments here but I was not able to get a virtual card. When I called, they pretty much said the same thing they told you. I did receive my card exactly 10 days after it was approved. Definitely drawn out process for me.
Same here re: trying to get a virtual card. Nowhere on the site; the customer service was/pretended to be clueless. Told me to wait for the physical card (had planned to put a big purchase on the card). Also couldn't say anything specific regarding how the miles can be redeemed on airline purchases, etc ("because we do not have access to your specific card yet"). Getting bad vibes from this and wondering if I should cancel right away (or will they then try to charge me the annual fee as well?) The customer rep actually said: "well, it's your right to cancel, but we strongly advise you call the credit bureaus first...."

I applied for this card, but got rejected. Not sure why, my credit history is good!
The reason I was given is that I have too much credit extended to me. I guess I should try lowering the credit limits on some of my cards.

That's weird. I've been using Capital one for over 10 years as well. I spoke to a rep on the phone before attempting to apply and he mentioned that you should check the website after you log in to see if you are pre-approved. I checked and saw that I was pre-approved for the Venture card when I logged into my account. I got approved instantly. Maybe try calling in to see if they can re-consider?

Cap 1 miles can be transferred to a number of airlines and hotels programs (including flyng blue)-- all but Accor and EVA are 1:1 transfers.

The Ink card you ask about is "better" in that I find Chases transfer partner list a little better, and it's a business card so it doesn't show up on your personal credit report (beyond the hard pull) like this card would.

Aeromexico Rewards: 1:1 transfer ratio
Air Canada Aeroplan: 1:1 transfer ratio
Air France-KLM Flying Blue: 1:1 transfer ratio
Accor Live Limitless: 2:1 transfer ratio
Avianca LifeMiles: 1:1 transfer ratio
British Airways Executive Club: 1:1 transfer ratio
Cathay Pacific Asia Miles: 1:1 transfer ratio
Choice Privileges (only U.S.-based accounts): 1:1 transfer ratio
Emirates Skywards: 1:1 transfer ratio
Etihad Airways Guest: 1:1 transfer ratio
EVA Airways Infinity MileageLands: 4:3 transfer ratio
Finnair Plus: 1:1 transfer ratio
Qantas Frequent Flyer: 1:1 transfer ratio
Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer: 1:1 transfer ratio
TAP Air Portugal Miles&Go: 1:1 transfer ratio
Turkish Airlines Miles&Smiles: 1:1 transfer ratio
Virgin Red: 1:1 transfer ratio
Wyndham Rewards: 1:1 transfer ratio

Your questions are common and you can find the answers here, reddit or elsewhere. The CS reps are human bots, who mostly go off the script... and unless they can validate you with an active card, they can't "help" you. I would just wait...
