Pro tip: For a few dollars more you can save a lot of heartache and get a dripless gun: https://www.amazon.com/Newborn-93...r=8-6&th=1

I didn't think I'd do a lot of 'caulking' (covers anything in a tube it seems) but stuff happens.

I use air-powered guns now. It's a bummer lugging the tank around but at least I can legit talk about my pneumatic sausage gun / blow job and deadpan it.

If this is your first time caulking, try to get the drip-free or dripless one.

Yep, that's the one I had my eye on after watching a YouTube video... definitely spend a few extra bucks to get a 'drip-free' one.

I'm still using a $4 one from harbor freight. Been pretty happy with it.

I'm almost 40 and until reading this thread never knew dripless caulk guns existed. Looks like a game changer. Just bought the Newborn model that was linked here. I'm actually excited for the next time I have to caulk something haha 😆

I saw another carpenter video that also recommended the Newborn but I just picked up the WorkPro on Amazon with an adjustable 2 step thrust ratio (9:1 and 18:1). What makes the Newborn so good and did I make a mistake picking up the WorkPro?

Why don't you use a battery operated one?

I got the Milwaukee M12 caulking gun. One of the best purchases I have ever made to add to my M12 ecosystem.

Works awesome if you have a lot of remodeling that requires caulking.

I am putting up a ton of blue board insulation in my basement. It had been a life, well, hand saver.
