Anyone have experience with this? I have a 34" with the same 3440x1440 resolution, I'm wondering if the larger size is going to make a noticable difference in the image quality.

I tried it to upgrade from a 35" lg curved ultra wide. I returned it. I couldn't get past it not having a curve.

My 34" is flat and I would be farther back from this one, so I think I would be ok in that respect. Did you notice a difference in clarity between the two?

At this size, a mild curve is very necessary.

I couldn't get used to it and returned it to Amazon. It's too big to be flat, something I didn't think was actually a thing. The anti-glare coating on it is horrendous making everything look grainy. The panel was not great at all and everything was washed out to the point I had a hard time finding my mouse.
They took the return and gave me my money back. Give it a go, just keep the packaging so you can return it.
Replaced it with the Dell 3422 which is a VA panel and it is in every way superior to the MSI 40"
I got this to try out. I've been liking it so far. It's huge but I also tend to have large fonts so I can take the screen back enough so I don't have to turn my head. Curved display is definitely better. I have used crg9 in the past. However, as I'd large fonts/dpi enabled, I couldn't get enough vertical space to work with.
KVM toggle works good to switch from my mac to primary desktop.
I can do keyboard shortcut to switch screen & peripherals devices to mac but can't go back as mac would need to install the MSI bloat sw and it's work laptop
mac display is connected via USB-C cable for display + peripherals while desktop is hooked up via display port.
VRR works, HiDiPi works on mac. You'd need a high quality usb-c cable to support high refresh rates.
