I bought one and I agree -- for the price, it is an excellent performer with excellent specs for $750. I don't think you will find an Ultra 7 CPU and a 3K OLED 120Hz display for $750 anywhere. The SSD is, of course, upgradeable, but not the RAM. What's not talked much about is the giant "MacBook" sized touchpad. I like it.
It has been $750 for a while, so I think it's just a normal price (would be AMAZING deal if it went on sale lower than $750).
A pretty cool feature is the built-in ASUS OLED screen-saver (triggers in 30 minutes of idle time). A very colorful motion/abtract screensaver that helps from getting burn-in images.
The MyAsus app has lots of good configuration options, too. It's actually very useful.
It has the 155H cpu chip. Chips with the H at the end will come with Intel Arc GPU so the performance should be much better than the Intel Iris Xe but not as good as the RTX 3050. You'll get better battery life than with the RTX 3050 though. If it has the chipset cones with a U at the end it'll come with Intel Iris Xe instead.

I really like the specs on this laptop. Personally, I would have traded 3k for a touchscreen in a heartbeat. I just recently started researching so I'm not sure if this is an amazing deal, but it does seem very very good.

How is the sound on this thing? I can't tell if the speakers are underneath the laptop or above.

Underneath the laptop, can't tell about the quality or loudness. However, my experience has been average about all the laptops with only bottom facing speakers.
One wonders how the integrated Xe graphics on this compare to the 3050 with 4gb dedicated ram my current laptops have...
I have had a couple Asus Vivobook and Zenbooks and build quality has been ok
edit - yeah I don't think this is replacing my Lenovo with rtx 3050 but it might replace my old Asus with MX450, but it's bigger and I really love the 14" screen for travel purposes. This says 3.3 lbs which isn't bad tho

How do you use a touchscreen on a non 2in1? Do you reach your across the keyboard and poke the screen? Honest question.
You'd be surprised how many people without touchscreens reach across the keyboard and point at things (I guess) making the screen incredibly gross. I've seen some nasty screens in my day (i'm an IT person so I see lots of computers).
