I picked up the 48" yesterday for $620. Purchased the 2 year warranty for $79. It appeared brand new and was packaged with all the new items.

From what I remember about the original LG C1, they are the exact same TV, just that different retail stores use slightly different part numbers to avoid price-matching.

Does the warranty cover burn-ins?

I just got one 2 days back. Why refurbished is in quotes? Its next to the new, I am an electronics engineer. There is nothing wrong in factory refurbished.

Moreover, I got 3 year protection plan on it. Which is a win win.

I bought this TV from MIcro Center back in March refurbished and it had 96 hours on it and was packaged as brand new. It's been terrific and I have over 600 hours on it now. The 3 year warranty does not cover burn in but it covers accidental damage and anything else.

I don't have any regrets but I think the next TV I buy will be at BestBuy with their warranty. Many cases where people made claim for burn in and got to keep the old TV and were credited for a new one.

I got my 55 inch C3 with only 1 hour total usage time 3 weeks ago for $799.99 Refurbished. Bought the $189.99 accidental plan that cover is basically any damage including burn in. The screen protection plan does not cover burn in and only if you get any dead pixels, it has to be a certain amount.
