I have this drive. Be careful with this drive disappearing from Bios/Windows issues. First need to download Sammy's Magician to update firmware, which addresses significant degradation issues. Then may have to set power mode to full performance to avoid the drive disappearing issues. Both issues are well documented on the internet.

All else equal, I probably wish I got the WD or Crucial drive to avoid these issues.

Same issues here, Drive constantly drops from heavy usage on my unraid setup. Had to get it serviced. Noticed new manufactured drives have been ok though but I might of just been lucky. Personally would stay away from WD (just my experience, personal and enterprise).

What do you mean by having it serviced? Was it replaced with another drive by Samsung?

It was a complete replacement, they sent me a brand new drive (not a refurb).
