Have the 8 GB RAM, and turning on the "reduce animations" (Settings -> Accessibility -> Vision enhancements -> Reduce animations (toggle on) made a HUGE difference and is a game changer! Feels much faster and snappier in response. Initially had animations reduced to 0.5x under the developer option, and still felt jittery at times. But the reduce animation makes this feel like a $500+ tablet!

I know it's great that this has 8GB RAM, but the main benefit of this is being able to have multiple applications running at the same time (or something like lots of active browser tabs). But for single application use or if say just playing a 1080p youtube video, how is the performance? Any lag or stuttering? If so, then the bottleneck is with the CPU and the SD695 is almost 3 years old. I'm a little hesitant on buying a tablet with a CPU that old even though historically this particular Samsung tablet is historically the best price it's ever been.

Anyone know of upcoming midrange tablets that will have a newer CPU like the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1? Maybe I will hold out for one of those.

I absolutely didn't game with it nor would I even bother... I did simple ties like social media web browsing while video streaming in multi Window... it performs the task well but just laggy at getting to the menus.

Is multi window do well on it? I have Samsung smart monitor and multi window is useful

It laggy through the menus no matter what you doing... it gets so bad sometimes even the touch screen starts delay touching
