Have the 8 GB RAM, and turning on the "reduce animations" (Settings -> Accessibility -> Vision enhancements -> Reduce animations (toggle on) made a HUGE difference and is a game changer! Feels much faster and snappier in response. Initially had animations reduced to 0.5x under the developer option, and still felt jittery at times. But the reduce animation makes this feel like a $500+ tablet!

Even the fastest SD cards are orders of magnitude too slow to be anything close to system memory

Man, 1.3 pounds for an 11 inch 1080p LCD screen. Yea you get 90 hz refresh but that's not a good trade off.

Is it faster than the s9 fe? I changed from s7 to s9 fe and it is significantly slower.

I highly doubt it. S series is a much higher class than A series.

I just received mine today when I purchased it at $154. I like it a lot and I was able to turn off animations making it quite snappy in "visual accessibility " options. YouTube, Netflix, prime video all work great.

As for the WiFi connection, I think I already figured it out. I noticed that when I use the tablet at work then I don't have this issue. I only encounter this when I'm using my home WiFi. I've read somewhere that Samsung tabs got issues with the WiFi frequency it connects to. Something like it's more compatible with 2.4 GHz WiFi instead of 5GHz. I read that If you want better range, use 2.4 GHz. If you need higher performance or speed, use the 5GHz band. So I just changed my wifi settings and enabled WiFi band steering which "automatically connects devices to the best available WiFi frequency". Ever since I did this, I have not seen a single drop in my wifi connection at home with this tab.

Same, they tried to send me a cart link with the promotional price and couldn't even get that to match the Samsung shop app price. Not worth it for me though, I'm trading in a 10 year old galaxy tab s for $30 - which they lowered to $12 so net marginal benefit for me.
