Does anyone make a version of this panel w/o the dual mode? 240 Hz @ 4K would be plenty. Seems like a gimmick few people will use, so they can charge more for it.

Capital One currently has a 14% cash back offer for LG, which is about $154 for this deal.

ViewSonic just launched a monitor with the same panel (XG323-4K-OLED-2), but it also has dual mode. In my opinion, the primary benefit of dual mode is native 1080p. 480hz does sound gimmicky, but tests seem indicate a bit less motion blur, so the tradeoff could be worthwhile for some users.

The key word you used was "some" users. I suspect the majority of people who buy one of these will never use that mode.

Anyone playing FPS games semi-seriously will use that mode.

Disagree. Most gamaers won't drop to a windowed mode at 1080P unless they are playing esports.
