Apparently the unlocked variant (K and KF) of the 13th and 14th generation processors can have stability issues
This was reportedly due to some motherboards not shipping with reasonable power limits, not the processor having any specific issues.
Yet the misinformation is continuing to spread.
On a prebuilt, there's a strong likelihood that they already fixed the issue (if there even was one with this motherboard) with a BIOS update preloaded and there's nothing you have to do.
If there's an even newer BIOS update for the motherboard (and chances are, there is), you should be applying it anyway. Otherwise, figure out what the power limits should be and set them accordingly.
Is this a good computer to last me for years . I'm a console gamer but want to go the pc route????????
Only having 16GB of RAM is a little puzzling for the MSRP being $1900. It should have 32GB standard at that price.
But given the steep discount, you could easily toss what's in there and pick up a 64GB kit for another $170.
The SSD also isn't the fastest on the market, but it's passable if you aren't doing a lot of write heavy tasks.
If it were me and I intended to use it for tasks outside of gaming (Photoshop, AI, etc), I'd sell the keys for the games it comes with and use that to offset the cost of a 64GB kit, then maybe see about a faster drive. The 2TB it comes with can still be used as a secondary.
But if you're just going to game, it's fine right out of the box.

I mean there 100% is an issue with these processors. I'll let people do their own forum searching and googling. Heck just look at the 13th and 14th Amazon prime deals that were recently posted here. I've seen these working fine for people but degrading within a year. Intel is apparently not even fighting people on their RMAs. I just suggest everyone do their own research.
I really wanted something like this to possibly have for many years . Now is this issue with the processor something that hasn't been addressed yet. What would you recommend that's similar to this one and I loved that it came with two games I was already looking to purchase for my ps5

I will only be using it for gaming and some daily task. Should I still upgrade ram and if so any specific ram I should get . Thank you
Btw speaking of issues I have seen it claimed that 40xx series Nvidia GPUs having issues with thermal paste with in 3-6 months due to what was used in them. (high amount of oil in the mix that makes them perform better than average at first, but the mix supposedly dries out abnormally fast - I believe the article was on tomshardware) I have an Nvidia card (4070ti) but have not checked for any issues. (I have never swapped paste on a GPU before)

There are many reviews across the internet of horror stories. There's a reason the public company lost 90+ % of their share price.
If you do intend to buy any equipment, buy with a card that offers warranty protection like chase or Amex cards.
