This deal for a SK hynix Tube T31 1TB USB Type A stick is cheaper and more then double of the speed for this.

OR if you want a much faster USB type C (Not type A) then the one I mentioned above, this KingSpec 1TB external ssd with usb c port(you need to bring a cable) and slightly more expensive.

If it was me, id choose a type A style usb/ssd as you can an enclosure for what ever size/speed m.2 ssd you want. Imaging computers 1gb/s is prob faster then the limit of any computer. You would be limited by the cpu anyways.
