All my homies love this monitor, but I returned mine because it didn't have deep enough black levels. I'm not sure what else to try. I want deep blacks like a VA monitor but without the smearing and blurring. I can't find any glossy options, so the only option left is to buy an OLED monitor.

Solid option for a new xbox?
You will only get the 165Hz refresh rate from the DP 1.4 port. Xbox only has HDMI output so you will be limited to 120Hz @1440p as that is what the Series X can output.

27" will be a sharper image at 1440p. 108.7 PPI.
32" will be less sharp at 91.7 PPI.
That is a 17% difference in density.

Also, curved displays introduce additional glare as they catch and reflect light from wider angles.

I would personally recommend avoid the curved display gimmick, and stick with the smaller, clearer display.

Thank you, didn't think about glare, was only thinking about display size and have never used a curved display. I've heard the curved displays can give headaches too.

Got one last month and it was great until the osd started going crazy yesterday. Had it 40 days and support refused to do anything except give me "an open box refurbished" model, saying that after 30 days I couldn't get a new replacement. Completely unacceptable. Apparently this is a fairly common issue on Dell monitors I've read. My previous monitor was a Dell and had issues as well but they were tolerable. Unreal terrible customer service. No more Dell for me. Amex fortunately refunded the item for me under return protection and I bought a different monitor.
none of that advance return/exchange 3yr coverage that i always hear about?

Bought 3 yr warranty for $28 based on some of the comments
If you bought this exact model then it already comes with a 3 year warranty. You should return this warranty you purchased and get your money back.

I got a pair of the same Dell monitors at $199 each. I have never seen an OSD issue you described. I also don't have any issues with flickering or dead pixels. Maybe you got a lemon.

I just got this monitor and wanted to make some observations on my usage. First, with everyday use, I found it wild how different the performance from Displayport vs HDMI is. I have a 4k 144hz monitor that runs flawlessly through displayport, so naturally I thought it would make sense to run this Dell that I am pairing it with through a similar displayport setup.

I try and try in OSD settings, nvidia control panel settings, and it just gets so choppy. I set at 165hz, 144hz, 120hz, and to my eye it really didn't look that much better than 60. Note, I am comparing to the smoothness I am accustomed to on my 4k 144hz monitor next to it, and driving with a 4080 super.

As I am about to give up, thinking I got a bad unit or something, I try hdmi and voila, that made all the difference - it is perfectly smooth now in everyday usage. Looking further into the monitor, it seems like only the hdmi port has VRR, which seems to be what provided me with the smooth everyday experience, and corresponding smoothness in games too. While I would never think hdmi would be a better experience on a monitor, looks like that is the case on this monitor. If experiencing the same issues, try this! Couldn't find this information anywhere.

Secondly, the best picture quality I found was on RTS mode, dark stabilizer 0, and 100/80% brightness and 80% contrast. Great picture quality and dark blacks. With these configurations, at $162, I am completely satisfied!! great monitor!
