If I already have Peacock, anyone know if this stacks a year to what I've already paid for?

Edit: Details say for new Peacock subscribers so I'll assume not.

Edited Edit: contacted peacock support and they prorated a refund and canceled my account. Then just followed the Verizon link and all worked like a charm.

After SEVERAL hours with Verizon customer support, we went round and round to try and figure it out I could not get this deal.
My guess is, if you have EVER had a Netflix/Peacock/Starz deal, you can never again get a deal.
The fine print does not say this. I never got a definite reason why.

Seems something strange, when I first logged into my Verizon mobile account, it showed this promotion on the home page. I click on that tile which took me to the detailed page showing this bundle. But when I clicked on "Get it now", it took me to this Peacock page (see attached) where it doesn't show the Peacock+Netflix bundle. And now it's not showing this bundle on the home page either.

I tried to get this under my mobile account. HOWEVER, in order to get access to it, I would have to update my account to one of the newer plans... of course, for more money (including an additional $8.80/ month for the +play perk). I'm also grandfathered on a cheap FIOS plan, so I strongly suspect they'd make me subscribe to something newer to qualify, even though last year's Starz/Netflix deal wasn't like that.

Dang it, Verizon.

Wondering about this scenario - purchased an 1-year Peacock sub for $20 via Walmart+ about a month ago… so it won't show as inactive even if I cancel until next year, which would block me from enrolling in the Netflix plan, because Peacock has to be enrolled first, right?
I suspect if you just use a different email and credit card for Peacock from the original one, it'll work. I vaguely remember needing to do this to sign up for Peacock deals for new subscribers to get around the fact that I had been a previous subscriber, and it worked.

Thanks for this. At least I got a "you are not eligible for this offer" from your link. OPs link just brought me to +play.
I wonder if it's that those of us that are ineligible are on older plans. My phone plan is the old "The new Verizon Plan Single Smartphone 5 GB".

People seem to be missing how the text is worded. It clearly says if you previously had this, you have to wait till AFTER the billing cycle. I take that as, if my billing cycle is July 25-Aug 24, and I canceled the 1yr Starz play on July 27th, I won't be eligible until after August 24th.

Here's the text.
Netflix through +play. To get this offer, you must cancel your original subscription and wait until the end of the billing cycle (if the offer is still available.)
I think this is the key. I'm one of the many that is eligible but not seeing the deal once I sign in. VZW customer service seems to be lost but I feel like this is the most logical reason so many people are having issues sign up.

If you had the Starz/Netflix deal, you aren't eligible for this deal...period. I had it, and it has been expired for over 3 weeks, and it doesn't work for me. I can only find one person in the 23 pages of this thread that was able to sign up for this deal after having Starz/Netflix deal. And I suspect that person may have used another Verizon account to sign up, or got extremely lucky.

I agree with you, the problem is that's not what their fine print says. It simply says you can't be under a current promotion. I personally had the Paramount/Netflix deal FYI.

So i am a FIOS customer. The offer clearly states you can just be a FIOS customer and get this deal. When i tried to use the online form it errored and said i could not sign up. I contacted support and they said FIOS customers need to buy a play+ upcharge at $10/mo to be able to access this. I said no thanks. YMMV

This is a killer deal, but I just can't get past the drawbacks of having Verizon.

Mobile internet is much slower than my AT&T fiber. Post paid cellular is much more expensive than my $20/month on Mint.

Any hacks to get this offer without Verizon service??

Ask a friend who has Verizon? Just cancel it right after you complete setting it up (it will still remain active for the whole year).

People pay for this crap ... it is available all over the interwebs for free
My time and convenience is worth more than $7 a month.

My Netflix seems stuck from the Starz deal - it should have expired by 7/25 but it's still working and active. Want to connect this deal (signed up via spouse's account) but can't do that until Netflix account disconnects. Normally I wouldn't care about a free subscription LMAO
Worst case i'll just make a new NF account, but would prefer to maintain the history and saved stuff.

Okay, so I guess folks that pay extra to get their service directly from Verizon (or AT&T or T-Mobile) are essentially recouping some of their overpayment by getting a discount on stuff like this... but I gotta think that the savings from getting their phone service through an MVNO would result in more savings... some of which could be respent on stuff like this.... and still come out ahead.

Sure, there may be some folks who may be forced to get a service from a primary provider and who dont realistically have another option - I can think of those who get their home internet service in this manner and who don't have a 2nd/3rd option locally that matches Verison (etc) on price, reliability, etc. But for those who are getting cellular service from one of the Big Three, I'm hopeful that they're doing so intentionally and not due to being ignorant of the other, much more affordable options that are out there.

Slick Deals IS about "deals", but it's also about peers helping peers become more fiscally responsible and learning how to stretch their dollars to get more bang for the buck. I consider it consumer education to help SDers learn that it's no "deal" to overpay for cellular just to get a small rebate in the form of discounted Netflix/Peacock... in the long run, you're still paying more than you need to. Smilie

Consider getting your phone service through a prepaid MVNO. I'll bet you'll be surprised at how much you can save - likely more than enough to get Netflix and Peacock and still pocket some cashola. Peace out.
