Take videos and pictures of your device - I almost got played by them. I've traded in 6-7 devices to Samsung; on my Fold4 I traded for a S24U, they said the screen was cracked after receiving the device. I had to call in, send pictures and video, after which they pulled the "unboxing video" and confirmed it was an error on their end and reissued the full credit. I had always read about it on Reddit, however I got to experience it first hand. Take video of the powering down, showing no damage, packing it (have this all ready ahead of time), and handing it to the Fedex rep in a continuous cut. This made a difference.

Will this work internationally? I read in forums that the 5G on this phone is not supported by some careers in other countries.

I've got a samsung account, and I have my cousin's edu account. Last week using samsung chat to purchase, they combined the edu and trade in offers for me to get a watch 7 cheap. So I tried using chat for the edu s24 ultra, and getting trade in value for my old s21 ultra of $550. It wasn't $880 minus $550 like I was hoping, but it got the phone to $600 and after tax $647. I'm just saying try having them combine offers in chat, then they send you a link, and sometimes it is a better deal than posted on here. Worth a few minutes to find out, and you still aren't obligated to purchase if you don't like it.
Showed total savings of $820
$550 trade in of s21 ultra
$150 edu discount
$120 promotional
$647 total after tax

I'm sure you could get less with a referral or first time app discount.

I do believe the processor in this is a lot faster than 22+
I got this to replace my 22Ultra 512GB, which I think has more powerful processor and more RAM than 22+. my 22 Ultra also has ben solid even though it does get quite hot sometimes. So I might not activate the 24U right away.

I'd say generally that comes from s22 or below series, especially going from a plus or regular to ultra yes. Coming from 23 series - no. Have S23U myself and will wait for either Pixel 9 Pro or S25U. Sounds like at least the latter will be a pretty notable upgrade again.

I have EDU so can get this for $879, and it'd certainly be a nice upgrade from my S21, but I really don't want such a huge phone. I'm wondering if it's worth it to buy with the 15% CB, sell, make some extra money and throw that toward an S24 or S24+...

Any way to add the referral to an existing account? I created a new account, but my EDU is associated with my other account and I am also no longer a student so I don't want to lose it either. If I can get an extra $50 off I might bite. I keep getting the $50 off $500 offer in the app, but it doesn't show up at checkout so trying to find other options.
