Newegg FantasTech Deal w/ ZIP Promo

$686.39 for the HP Dragonfly G4 Factory Recertified after selecting ZIP Payment and applying the coupon ZIPMYPC7 at checkout; Sold and shipped by Newegg. The lowest brand new was at Costco $899.99 (https://slickdeals.net/f/17553918-costco-in-store-hp-dragonfly-g4-laptop-i7-1355u-13-5-touch-32gb-ram-1tb-ssd-899-97?src=SiteSearchV2Algo) and recently YMMV $512.97 Costco via Instacart (https://sameday.costco.com/store/...s/39174602). That should work just fine. I tested with light free play games on steam and works great.

Anyone know if this is a 2-in-1 where the screen can fold 180 degrees? It seems like either older models or different laptops in the dragonfly product family might have had this feature but I haven't seen it specifically mentioned about the dragonfly elite G4. Thanks for any help.

I don't know if the screen goes to 180 degrees, but even if it does (as many ThinkPads do) that would not make it a 2-in-1. You might be thinking of a 360-degree hinge that can go all the way around to become a tablet, which this does not do. I'm not aware of any Dragonfly model, ever, that has such a hinge.

Appreciate the OP taking the time, and not trying to thread crap, but can we exclude the zip stuff from the posted price? It's sort of like posting anything on Amazon and saying $200 off when you apply for the Amazon credit card. I think it should be noted in the details but not the front page price when it's bound to a credit line application. Again, no disrespect to the op. Appreciate you contributing.

You're absolutely correct. Time for me to go back to high school geometry.

I'm on the phone with them now too, to try and get that credit back. Always a bummer when it doesn't work and you hafta act like Oliver twist and ask for more.

They're taking $90 off the order so $97.54 going back to the card (tax adj).

$754 after taxes. I'm happy

Only one year of warranty? I could have sworn these came with 3 year warranty from HP. I wonder if you look up the Serial number with HP if it would still be active. I'm sure this has at least a year and a half to 2 years of warranty left

This is a pretty unexciting laptop. Standard res, 60Hz IPS non-touch screen. "U" series CPU (least powerful series). Intel Xe graphics. The only thing going for it is the 32GB RAM.

I couldn't imagine paying $1500 for this.

By keyboard on a laptop and MacBook pro level speakers. Do some research. Casual.

Trying to understand your word soup -- you're saying something is special about the keyboard and the speakers are good make it worth $1500? What exactly would I research?

Yeah they are basically fancier versions of the Elitebook series. Look for a G8 or G9 elitebook on eBay and you can find similar or better for half that price. X360 touch screen models or ryzen 5000 or 6000 series can be had for less than this

IMO the dragon fly series just has a couple extra quality of life things that the Elitebook series doesn't have but I don't think it's that much better. Its like a tiny bit better. But IMO not worth the extra cost

Name-calling. That's how you handle a difference of opinion? Very mature.

Calm down Karen lol. I too can speak the language of name-calling.
