I can't speak to how it would hold up against 25 kids a day, but fwiw, I share this sharpener with 4 people at my office. I've been there 3 years and use it daily. It's been solid the whole time.
Jr. High teacher here. I had bought this same sharpener but in black and it did last a good while but then started giving me issues like not sharpening or struggling to sharpen. It is also very light and moves around.
I finally bought this X-Acto sharpener and I was very impressed with it as were my students. This one stops automatically which keeps students from sharpening their pencil for a whole minute. I also has a very large shavings collector so I can empty it at the end of the day or every few days. With the other one students would sometimes empty it and make a mess. This X-Acto sharpener is also a bit heavier and has suction cups which keeps it in place vs this Bostich moves around and requires two hand to operate when sharpening a pencil.

I've had to buy so many pencil sharpeners for my class. Let's see if this one sticks it out for a year.
One year in, it works in my classroom but it has a very small reservoir. Expect to empty it regularly - it will still spin when the reservoir is full but it won't actually sharpen.

I highly recommend this sharpener. Been using it in my classroom for a few months and it is such a huge upgrade compared to this Bostich one!

Still doesn't seem like that great of a deal. Under $10 seems like a deal.
