This is just borax and sugar water. Ants (depending on their needs) either look for sugar sources or protein sources. If they are looking for protein sources this will not be very effective.

Looking at the box this is avermectin b1. I don't have experience with this, but the borax in Terro bait does work well. ​

if the ants you have go for protein, like my situation, you can try something I came up with:

Mix a raw egg with a bit of commercial borax and place that mixture in a small container outdoors where ants are seen. In some locations, this has worked well. Might work for some of you.

Dont know about this - but Advion ant work amazingly. Lot faster when sprinkled a bit of sugar.

You really need to determine what your ants are after first. Terro is good if they're after sugar but not protein.

I don't know why but finding protein bait traps is kind of difficult it seems most products are sugar based.

The trap posted here didn't work for me, I assume this only works for sugar ants.

These didn't work at all for me, the ants never went for it. I bought a gel bait and the ants went crazy for it, they would disappear for a few days but would eventually come back. No idea if it's different colonies though.

This! Terro has always worked for me until I moved and the new ants didn't take the baits. I went with this and they were all gone. So maybe different type or levels of sugars as well?

I use peanut butter and 20 mule team borax. Throw some honey in the mix to get the protein AND the sweet eaters.
