One of the best PSU makers out there. I've been building PCs for over 20 years and I always buy Seasonic.
Focus PSUs are always the best bang for buck and this is an amazing deal.
Here is a very detailed review of the 750w variant:

Tell us more. I used seasonic and the PSU lasted more than fifteen years until I had to throw it out during PSU upgrade because I got no place to keep it.

I'm not sure I'd trust your opinion if you didn't know that Corsair and EVGA don't actually make their own PSUs. You can find the real OEMs on any decent review or something like the PSU tier list: https://docs.google.com/spreadshe...1529225916. Note that SuperFlower made some of the best reviewed EVGA units, and they only fairly recently started selling their own branded units, kinda like FSP. I think Seasonic was earlier than those two with its own brand while still building OEM units.

They aren't the same company as they once were. Some of their cheaper units aren't designed by them anymore. So you don't always know if you are getting a Seasonic unit. And they have had a few issues with transient voltage with a few units. So a little research is needed before making a purchase. But they are still a good choice. They just aren't as highly regarded as they once were. I would say SuperFlower and Seasonic are still the top 2. Followed by FSP. But just like anything else. You shouldn't always buy based on brand.

Pretty much every company creates segments of their products. From cheaper to the more expensive ones. This is needed because not everyone wants to spend $200 on some uber PSU.

Personally, my top three are corsair, EVGA, and sea sonic. I think you'll find they're more highly rated by customers than FSP and super flower. If something has changed show your work?

EVGA's highly rated power supplies were made by Super Flower, at least until a few years ago. From Tom's Hardware, in 2020 [tomshardware.com]:
"For those of you not being familiar with Super Flower and its products since it hasn't had a presence in the US market so far, all members of the EVGA G2, G3, P2, and T2 lines were manufactured by Super Flower and were among the best PSUs in their respective categories."
EVGA had an agreement with Super Flower where SF would stay out of the US market and only sell through EVGA. The agreement was either abandoned by EVGA or expired or they weren't selling enough to meet the numbers to keep it alive (depending on the source of the information), so EVGA switched to other manufacturers for at least some of their PSUs, maybe all of them. As I recall, the G5 & G7 are made by FSP and the G6 is from Seasonic.

Go with more credible sources instead of lttlabs...:

Focus V3 is on hwbusters best PSU list; however, I don't see his review.
It does well considering the Focus V3 is up against lots of PSUs including titanium and platinum.
https://hwbusters.com/best_picks/...busters/5/

There will always be duds / defects, but my Focus GX-750 from 2019 is still going strong and it even powered a RTX 4090. If my memory is correct it can handle sustained 1000W loads.

I've had 2 Seasonics and both failed on me

My first Season was their old X line, it caught fire after about a year. They happily RMA'd that one no questions since I sent in pictures of the GPU/CPU cables melted into the back of the PSU. The replacement never even turned on with my tester, they said there was nothing they could do.

I had a platinum focus where the fanless mode started making hissing noises around 6 months in, its fanned mode was fine but was a timebomb so stopped using it. I didn't RMA it since the shipping was something like $25 and they refused to cover it. Didn't feel like another run around repeat.

I haven't bothered with Seasonic again.

seasonic has been around for decades. Seasonic also makes most Asus, EVGA and other big brand PSUs, they just mark their brand on them.

Sorry to hear about your experience.

I've had a much different experience & more typical. I built two machines with Seasonic PSUs. One machine (built in 2008) is over 15 years old and STILL working! I choose a Seasonic TX-850 (machine built in early 2021) for my second machine....no problems to report! Neither has caught on fire or started making any noises.

For me at least...Seasonic is the brand I trust the most when I look to buy a PSU.

I'm currently running a 10 year old Seasonic X-Series 1250W 80+ Gold PSU that still runs like a champ. Even back in 2014, this PSU put up ripple, voltage regulation, efficiency, and performance stats that rival most newer PSUs.

I'm planning on running this thing until it dies. If/when that happens, I wouldn't hesitate to replace it with another Seasonic.
