Or you just really need to start reading the titles. 🤣

Good price, and nice throw in with the Slinkies. Like a lot of people, I used to think you needed heavy-ass strings to get good reverb and sustain and what not. Then I heard what BB King told Billy Gibbons, which was that lighter strings make your actual playing easier, which is a much better trade-off than using heavy gauge strings. "Why you working so hard?" King asked Gibbons, who was using heavier strings. These regular Ernie's are a nice in between options, if you don't want to go even lighter, because being able to play faster or with less fatigue and bend 'em easier beats anything you get from thicker strings.

It's a dirt pedal, you can run it off a 9V for a very long time if you don't already have an AC power supply. Just remember to unplug the input and output when it's not actively in use.

Just like Smoke on the Water is everyone's first guitar song, this pedal is everyon'e first pedal LOL

It's a classic tone. Nirvana, Master of Puppets, 50% of 80's rock....

So many DS-1's to be had from pawn shops, craigslist and FB marketplace. I got mine for about $10 as part of a pedal lot.

Bullet proof. Great to drive a clean tube amp.

There's definitely something to working for those bends, though. The struggle comes out in your sound and that's considered a plus for a lot of people.

I use 12s cause everybody knows, the thicker the string, the better it chugs.

Haha. I don't normally play music where that's a factor, but yeah. I use jumper cables on my metal guitar LOL
