However, I will say the people on AVS forums are pretty impressed with it. I hear a lot of general naysayers about Hisense, but people who actually own this TV (and know what they're talking about) generally seem to like it.
I was in the same position as you. My 85" Sony from Costco died. Like this TV, it had a 5 year warranty. Square trade tried to fix it, but ultimately ending up cutting me a check for $1400. This seemed like a no brainer replacement.

Sounds like a really really bad idea. Not just finding one that can handle this size and weight, but getting it mounted well enough to handle this size and weight, and lastly your tv itself not being strong enough to handle being moved around.
This is how you can ruin your screen by flexing it until you get vertical or horizontal bands of pixels that no longer work right.
Screens this big are what you should fixed mount and never touch again until it's dead.
