Keychron sells a "Max" variant of most of their keyboards which has 2.4 ghz connections, which is far superior than standard Bluetooth. I bought one of their "Pro" series boards and it's near useless for wireless (Bluetooth) gaming, or simply fast typing.
Other than that, I think their keyboards are really great with minimal key movements and a consistent high quality feel.
The problem now is that the only deals on woot don't contain any MAX keyboards

Thanks for the tip, I just bought a Q6 max yesterday and hope I like it! Can never find a discount/sale.

This is at best not relevant and at worse but true.

These are regular Keychron models with Gateron PRO switches. I will agree that the Keychron Pro models aren't the most useful upgrades. There are some small physical differences like the Q3 Pro getting LEDs for capslock while the Q3 has no indicator. You also get a volume knob. The biggest difference however is for the K series, which does not have qmk/via support on the base model, only the K Pro series. (You may be able to with a custom firmware or something but you lose BT? Not sure, didn't look into it.

Getting a Q Pro may only marginally better than the Q but I would not get the base model K. And the differences between V and V Pro and the other Keychron models may be more or less. I don't think there's a clean way that's applicable to all series that "Pro has this" and "Base has this"

Woot? So are these sold as never-opened unused keyboards, or as Amazon refurbished which have already been used by someone watching porn?

Owner of a k6 keyboard for a little short of 4 years with daily light use. Battery started degrading rapidly recently and dying over ~8 hrs (backlight lowest setting).

Reached out to customer service and they wouldn't help me with a replacement or anything. In short, decent build on keyboards but not the best customer service. My next keyboard will most likely be a Logitech keys mechanical

Batteries are consumable products in almost all warranty cases- certainly those that don't explicitly include it

Watch out! I bought what was marketed as a "new" K6 from Amazon but it was clearly used. I complained with customer service and they sent me another "new" K6 that was also clearly used. Returned... Not sure about Woot but just sayin...

Oops, you've committed blasphemy.

One simply cannot say in a deals forum that woot dumps used items sold as new on purchasers.

Repent!

I got a keychron V6 for work about a month ago, which got me eyeballing the Q4 for home. Ended up snagging the Q4 with brown switches a week ago from this deal, received sealed brand new item. Excellent keyboard. The metal body has solid premium feel. Brown switches feel smooth and tactile, and they're quiet enough for office use. I was weirded out by SA caps at first, but I'm really liking them now. 60% takes some time to get used to going from full sized keyboard. I kind of wish I got the 65% with a knob, but for $70 this one is a fantastic deal.

The non-double shot keycaps are really bad on the backlit models, it's scratchy and flakes off. Make sure you guys look out for double shot.

How is that not relevant?

Lack of 2.4GHZ wireless is a no-go for anyone that cares about latency, as the comment called out(fast typing / gaming). Calling out that these models lack it is incredibly useful.
