Just got a set of goodyear all seasons at sams and they told me not to buy them. They said they dont last for 65k miles. I wouldnt expect any tires to last that long and bought them anyway. I did get the 100$ off but the warranty was 80$. So 480$ out the door

I too had very bad experience with GoodYear. They were supposed to give 60K miles with Assurance all weather tires but didn't last more than 30K.
Bought Pirelli P4 with 70K miles warranty in local Sam's in 2019 and it's been almost 4.5 years. So far almost like 45K miles on them and after recent tire rotation, they said the tires could last another 15-20K more miles

Sharing this here, since it was news to me a few months ago and a lot of people seem to not be aware:

Buy tires on eBay. For the most part, the prices are as low as you are going to find, and they have an option to have your tires delivered to a local tire place around you, and installation is free. For me, it was a local PepBoys.

Excellent experience, beginning to end, no upsells to deal with since the guys at the shop are not selling their own products.

The Goodyear assurance I got from Costco a couple months are noisy and soft. Surprising. But the only tire I can get for 03 highlander without going to discount tire which use Chinese tires and were more expensive. I only put 1000miles a year on that vehicle though so they will probably dry rot and crack before they wear out.

How is installation free? I used to order my motorcycle tires online but had to pay the local shop their labor.

Discount tire has in depth tread life estimates using real world data. Most last 40-45k or less, but Michelin Defenders last 60-70k. They're obviously more expensive up front, but on a per mile basis are among the cheapest and also have among the best stopping distance and traction.

Some listings offer that, you just have to click around. Or, some will offer $99 installation but have a $99 coupon code.

Michelin tires I got last year during promo from Costco have been the best choice for me so far. The Original Toyo tires lasted about 80k miles, then got a set of goodyears from walmart that lasted about 40k. There's a remarkable difference in ride comfort, drive, stop distance & traction with michelin tires on. Although these were also 1 of the most expensive sets I had purchased

Those higher miles tires are more plastic than rubber and i wouldnt trust them in wet conditions. 30k miles is what i expect out of a tire.
Care to explain
80k on 2015 Silverado factory Goodyears that could have easily lasted another 10k thru the year still, but they all had leaks in them

I got
Pirellis from WM, it way cheaper than Sam's club.
Also if you're tires are not on stock in store and you bought it online , you might encounter problems getting your tires when you need them let's say a blow out because you have to wait for the shipment of that replacement.

Yeah i looked into this and from what I understood. I would need to remain a Sam's club member to take advantage of the warranty. Unless I'm wrong. This ended up not being worth it to me as Sam's prices keep going up and now their plus membership requires me to me a min purchase of 50 bucks to get free shipping. I have Walmart plus I use for grocery delivery and this gets me a warranty for tire installs. I find greater value with Walmart plus so I ended up getting my tires done at Walmart.
