This is a phenomenal tv. I paid this 1550 for the 65 inch. For gaming on ps5 and laptop it looks amazing. Expensive for just watching tv. But if you are also a gamers I highly recommend

HDR10+ is the HDR on Samsung. They don't want to pay Dolby licensing fees for what is essentially indistinguishable to 99.9% of viewers.
Actually that's incorrect.
HDR is the static form of HDR that both LG/Sony(& most 4k displays) will display.

Dolby Vision(proprietary) & HDR10+(open source) are dynamic forms on HDR. Displays have to have the capability to displays those.

With disc content most people would see a distinguishable difference, it will depend how much on the transfers.

If you're talking streaming content, I would agree probably most would say essentially indistinguishable.

lol well it's no difference with Samsung fanboys going HARD that there is no difference between the two.

So no it's not "just", both are wrong
To me they're not playing on the same field. One is telling people the TV is junk because it doesn't have it and the other is saying you'll still enjoy it without it. One is closer to the middle and it's not the DV fanboys.

I would say you're interpreting when they say they prefer DV because it's way better as saying the other is junk.

You can make the same interpretation when Samsung fanboys say newer technology or rtings says it's better and DV has no advantage!

Who is more in the middle?
I would point out newer technology doesn't always mean better and ironically technically DV is better than HDR.

This is a quote from someone just in this thread.

"Who are these people? Buy a cheap TCL, you won't know the difference, save a bunch of money. Now that's a slick deal! Do you have to put on the demo mode, or oversaturated demos that give a headache, to pretend its a good TV?"

You're trying really hard to prove some kind of point to me but I think what you don't understand is that like you I am in the middle. I have a S89C and enjoy it, but I'm not going to tell an LG owner it's better than their TV.

Does light reflections show up on screen ? I am looking for a tv which does a great job at eating up any reflections.
YMMV but it's bright enough that I've only noticed light reflections at certain viewing angles (that pull the light sources into view) and when the scenes are darker.

This scores 9.4 for reflections on rtings. I recommend checking some of the reference pictures for different models, for an idea if this will fit your needs

Thanks op! Picked one up today in the Vernon Hills Illinois store. They had 2 more in box and the display
Just got one of them from the same store. Thanks. 1 on floor + 1 display left. How does the included 5 year warranty work? Got charged an extra 139 then it showed a 139 credit to wash it out. Haven't opened the box yet. So just wondering if sam's was supposed to give me extra warranty brochure or if it's a 5 year manufactur warranty.

Yes here is another one on here:

"Lots of people don't care about dolby vision, and the S90C is listed as the top OLED tv on rtings."
We could do this for months!

Actually I'm not trying(at all) to prove a point to you!
I'm just providing information regarding your "hard" point of view that somehow LG fanboys are worse than Samsung ones with their beliefs!

BTW take a look at the votes each of our quotes received, who argues their beliefs more!? 🤔

I'll be completely honest with you, I really don't understand what you're doing if you're not trying to prove a point. Have a good night man.

Well I think anyone else reading this, I would gamble and they understand the point.
Now whether you understood it, was never my hard(or soft) point.
You my good man have a great night!

You got an email after an in store purchase? Or did you do store pickup? Nobody asked me for my email and I'm on a business account. Did you give an email or was it based on your membership card scanned?
