And then maybe a minor 3rd point, the classic fomo. Even though you probably wouldn't notice it, you'll know you don't have it, and when buying a brand new TV that can be ocd triggering.

That is why DV on LG looks different to DV on TLC, Hisense, and Sony.
So, at least for me is a nice to have, not a must have speciallly when the price difference is significantly more and also when DV becomes less of factor when the TV are already very bright making DV less necessary.
I the end the consumer votes with their money. Let them vote and if DV is really what everyone says it will be around for a long time.
Video processing wise, I will accept that Samsung's sucks big time and LGs is much better though. Only matters though if you are watching low quality lo res content. Motion processing is also better with LG. However, like in almost everything you have to decide and make decision knowing that there is always trade-offs.
Just go to a TV store or a show room and decide for yourself if LG Koolaid Vision matters or not.
Again, is your money, let your eyes decide.
Based on my own liking, 2023's models where something like this: Sony A95L > LG G3 > Sammy S95C/S90C > LG C3. But that is just my liking. There are people that like way more the LG C3.
To my eyes..I think the rtings article is spot on
The panel itself you choose is FAR more a factor than Dolby Vision is

I personally own the Sony A95L...and I spent a lot of time comparing TV's and obsessing somewhat with every little detail, since this was my media room TV
However..could I have lived with the LG G3 ..or the Samsung S90, for this price, and had no reservations for what I paid. The answer is absolutely

The picture and sound are really good. The picture is astounding sometimes. Huge upgrade from LG OLED B7 I have (older of course).
Only downside is the 'software', way to much there when I just want a TV with various inputs. LG was much simpler and better there.

(Asking as an Owner of 3 LG OLEDs and 1 qd OLED monitor)
