It's right there in the product details: Country of Origin ‏ : ‎ USA

Besides Pacific Foods is owned by Campbell Soup. It's not some tiny no name company.

Campbell makes soups in china.
I can't seem to find that. I see USDA certified (which means nothing in china) bit don't see the country of origin. My apologies if I missed it.
It's under the product details section.

I got the chicken and rice last time and it reminded me of the same soup Panera sells for $6-7. Thanks, ordering again.

Chicken and wild rice has a much better protein to calorie ratio than chowder.

Check the Sodium count, very high. 1120mg per a can.
The more sodium the better! I can't stand unsalted foods. Half the time I forget to add it when it's not there.

Canned soup has sodium? ...has a lot of sodium?? No way, man!

If all the comments about how food posted to Slickdeals is sometimes unhealthy, and why, became part of the posting, would it save all the do gooder's time and energy? Probably not.

16.3oz is smaller than a typical can of soup. Maybe it's a superior quality soup, but it doesn't seem like as good of a deal from the price point.
I agree with your statement but when it comes to food I personally prefer quality/taste over quantity. If memory serves right the big brands are mostly 18.8 oz cans but I have seen some with 16.1oz lately.

Great deal and nice filler for hitting your 15% S&S.
Does Amazon even give 15% anymore? I have tons of S&S and get 5% every time.

Yes, they still do but they definitely have cut back with the 15%.

The sodium is a bit on the high side; best if watered done and NOT eat the whole can.

I just got done eating this and I must say: it's darned good, for canned soup. Honestly.

It's certainly not salt-free, but it's also nowhere *near* too salty...it actually has a nice balance to it. In fact, that's the turn of phrase that I'd use to describe it wholesale: "well balanced". For $1.50, that can filled me up at 1:30AM and I enjoyed it. I don't feel lousy having eaten it, and I *really* enjoyed the way that the chicken was incorporated all throughout the soup. Basically chicken (little bits of it) in every bite. If I can get it for $1.50 again, I'll buy it again.
