TLDR: If you were to buy singles, it would cost $14, but if you were to sell it, you would get $1 cuz no one is gonna give you $13 for draft chaff and even card shops that buy your $2 card have to make money too

It's a great time to get back into it, I'm doing the same with Bloomburrows release. Havent played in 20+ years. The FP Commander Starter deck got me back into MTG and introduced me to what Commander is.

Shit, the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe was a direct copy, and it was still better fantasy.

"draft chaff" is enough of a reason not to get into MTG ever again.

These are decent for a beginner to learn how to play since they come with two codes for both decks to use in Magic The Gathering Arena

I'm pretty sure that "real life" is another reason. I shudder to think of how much time and money I spent on MtG when I played 30+ years ago. At least it kept me off drugs because I couldn't afford them.

I had a lot of fun with friends back then. I don't regret that at all. I just find the idea of thousands of useless cards to be a bit over the top. The game is based on buying volume and throwing away the rest, which is bad.

Magic is only fun with drafts or pre-built decks. I find the idea of deck building/refining from spending a ton of money kind of repulsive.

Magic did introduce me to the world of boardgames that are much more fun and less expensive though.

Early on, a lot of the fun was in designing decks from the cards at hand on teenager budgets and a lot of trading.

Also, I should probably see if I still have dual lands and then sell them on ebay. Yeesh!
