Based on the specs, I'm willing to guess that this works better with low-temp glue sticks.

If you're doing high volume work that doesn't specifically require low-temp glue, maybe look elsewhere.

Rather than battery powered melting of the glue, I'd rather have a corded glue gun with an automated glue feeding mechanism.

Not straight, no, but unless you're turning this thing on and off and waiting 5 minutes every time you use this over a 1 hour project, you're gonna be disappointed.
