Geez-o-pete, pressure is on me now!

I will do my best to be a kind internet stranger and SD Ambassador!

I'll likely be able to pick up tomorrow afternoon. I'll try to report back sometime shortly after that!

It says "identifies harmful mold growth". Does mold increase temperatures or decrease temperatures in materials? If this is a really dumb question then I guess I'm the person who asks the question that is the exception to the rule "there is no such thing as a stupid question".

think there's a temperature where mold grows, but also lack of light and airflow I think.

does this work pointed at someone's forehead? that's why i'm here for. all the other contraptions do not work *

* i suppose if you're on the software team that developed them you know exactly where on the body to rub/point these new fangled thermometers.

I even ordered an under the tongue mercury version and that couldn't even do the job. Why is it so hard?

If you have nosy kids like mine, you might want to hold off on this one because of the laser, it could get someone blind looking at it directly

I assume infrared are trying to detect the presence of moisture which would encourage mold growth, which would show as a lower temperature region due to water evaporation. Probably best to do more research on what infrared models can do this effectively though.

Yikes! I paid $500/eye back in the early 2000's. But as you say, some of the best money I ever spent.
