Tempting… but I can't quite justify ditching my 2080 super rig for a 4060ti, only minimal performance gains.. looks like I continue to wait.

I went to best buy to look at this, and i was turned off from the build quality and subpar oem parts. If you want a prebuilt with minimal upgrade capabilities get this. It's nice. If you want to be able to upgrade in the future don't get this. Dell has really degraded the Alienware brand it's sad.

According to that manual, every configuration supported is only 2 sticks, so safe to assume the board physically has 2 slots. So if you need over 64GB (96GB configs of 2x48GB sticks aren't shown as supported), this isn't the system for you. And if you need over 16GB, you'll have to toss the included 2x8 sticks and replace them rather than just adding more.

Alienware has always been trash, you clearly have no clue what you're talking about
Also, if this has any problem that needs returning you pay that expensive shipping.

How are they able to get away with 500w PSU? I thought 14th gen and 4060ti would surely have been more demanding than 500w. In fact just looking up PSU requirement, Nvidia recommends 550w PSU as minimum for the 4060ti.

Ended up getting the R16 with the i9 and 4090 with 32gb of RAM for $2,515...Was originally looking at a 4070ti Super, then a 4080 and ultimately decided it was worth it to spend more to get the 4090.

Hell, there are a lot of 4080 Super prebuilts and custom rigs that are the same if not more expensive. I have an old gaming rig I built that's very outdated. When the crypto mining/GPU shortage happened, I gave up on trying to acquire the best parts at the best price at every available store...instead I think getting a good prebuilt with top of the line GPU/CPU will circumvent this and keep me happy for years.

Maybe one day I'll go back to making a custom rig.

There's no such thing as a bad gpu just bad prices. The 4060ti would have been the heavily celebrated if it launched at $250.
