Espresso nerd here. I wouldn't touch this one, even at the 50 bucks. 20 bars of pressure at this level of build quality is GOING to wear out very quick. Most people want 9 bars of pressure for better flavor control and flow consistency. You better have a flipping good grinder (above 500 bucks) for uniform pucks for this thing or you WILL get channeling with that much flow.

I wouldn't want my face next to a 50 dollar 20 bar pressure machine in the am. If you're looking for a similar profile and feature set I would wait for the Breville Bambino to go on sale. Usually 300 but can drop during sales OR buy one on one of the used marketplaces. People get rid of espresso machines ALL the time around this time of the year after it sat on their counter for 6 months from Christmas never getting used.
Just my 2 cents. You get programmable buttons, and a thermocoil quick heating system. Not bad for a $50 espresso machine.
Okay, regarding the suggested alternatives mentioned in the review: the Breville Bambino [amazon.com] is $300. And the Bambino Plus [amazon.com] is $500.

This espresso maker is just $50!

They're all incentivized anyways, so you're not missing much. But about 10-15% are 1-Star reviews, if that matters

I mean, it's $50 - I think that's a deal! If you want, pick up a 2-year replacement warranty for $10.

I got the full size one that was on sale at the beginning of the month for 30 bucks from bestbuy.com. however I'm struggling to figure out how to get it going correctly. I wish there was a video to show me how to do this

all you do is press 1 button and wait for it to come out after you made your espresso puck

what do you mean? The instructions are pretty clear from the machine. If you need to dial in to make the cup you want, there is a lot of videos on youtube about how to make a good cup.

Those are the only legit ones, Bella is straight trash. Buy it and find out.

In for one. I have been looking for an espresso. Hopefully it doesn't explode like the other bella one for $30 on bestbuy

The grinder is the key component. If your budget is under $100, look at the Kingrinder K4 or K6. If you're at $200, look at the Baratza Encore ESP or Fellow Opus.
