On paper, it has a lot of features many should want: QLED, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, and Bluetooth. Also, I miss having the Google TV platform. I would say that it's a winner for a medium sized bedroom or something comparable.

Good for the money. Got to pay to play, even with TCL.

Don't get confused not all QLEDS are the same. This tv has no FALD so QLED is essentially a gimmick and not much of a difference from edge lit led.

For external computer monitor I've used a budget 43" tcl Roku 4k, 1080p insignia 22" all were solid but did get fuzzy text, not quite clear photo pictures. Currently using a 27" Samsung smart monitor. Way convenient and faster not having to attach multiple devices. And Samsung 4k picture seems better quality compared to the 4k tcl and Hisense tvs in my house

qled affects the pixel color gamut. regardless if there is local dimming or not.

this is wide color gamut

How's this compare to the Hisejse QD6 at Costco for about the same price?

I'm guessing that's also the case for the Hisense qd6

I probably use the same 43" TCL Roku. You have to make sure it's on 4:4:4 chroma and not 4:4:2 chroma, which can be tricky with older hardware. For example I had to get an active Display port to HDMI 2.0 adapter to get it to work with the 4th gen i5 my work computer used, then took me like a day to find the right settings.

It still outputs more natural colors than LED or QLED.
