For gaming you'll much more likely be bottlenecked by the rtx 3070 and its 8gb of vram first before the 16gb of system ram.

Ignoring mods, games that can go over 16gb of ram right now are the likes of Cyberpunk, Hogwarts Legacy, Jedi Survivor, Last of Us, Alan Wake 2. But if you crank the settings to the point where it needs a lot more than 16gb of ram, the rtx 3070 likely won't be able to handle the settings at smooth frame rates anyway.

There may be some exceptions like Tarkov but that's because the game is filled with memory leak issues.

This deal has been on ebay for weeks. Nothing new. The 3000 models come with only 500WPSU. CPU plus GPU uses 400W. Not much headroom for comfort.

Pretty sure my chrome tabs alone use 16gb.

My Chrome tabs only average about 100MB each. I think one could argue that you don't NEED 150+ tabs open WHILE you are gaming IF your system is RAM-limited.
