Just know that going in, a 12'x4' will be difficult to work. Three of my seven raised beds are 12'x4', and I would never put in a 12'x4 again, even though this is a fantastic price. The width of these makes them very difficult to work from one side, and impossible to do so if you add a trellis to one side, like one of mine has. That may not sound all that bad until you're planting or weeding or cultivating, and have to get up and go to the other side, and still the middle remains difficult to reach from either side without stepping in the bed, which kind of defeats the purpose of a raised bed. I don't have short arms. I'm 6'1" with long arms. I can only imagine the difficulty if you do have shorter arms. All of my beds after these three, have been 3' wide.

How well do these hold up to the elements (vs a Cesar build)?

For $40, add some weed barrier on the bottom - I'm in. Cheaper than lumber of similar size to build a raised bed which is what I have been doing. ¡Mucho Gracias!

Actually cedar wood of 12 feet long is expensive, even in California. This is a good deal.

Please note: instructions call for a left-handed screwdriver only, and to be used with only a right-handed adjustable wrench/pliers. 🤔🫢

Be aware, many reviews state that this is only 11' long, not a full 12'

I have galvanized steel raised beds. These will rust eventually. Using fertilizer will also contribute to the corrosion. Nothing is maintenance free, but I would still use them if given the choice.

I bought the 8 foot version over a year ago. Works well for my space. I can get to both sides overall easily.
After a year it does have some rust on the inside but I kinda expected that.
With dirt inside close to the top, the thickness of the metal isn't a concern for me.
I paid $64 for the 8' then on sale - this is a good deal.
Might be able to make it shorter if you leave some panels out. Just FYI.

This is good advice. 4 feet is just too wide for us as well.

All my beds are 4 feet wide. They're accessible from both sides. Trellis goes down the middle, not on the side.

Depends on where you start measuring from. gotta start from the perineum... I mean ground, and measure up and around the balls.... I mean walls and to the tip of the wall.
