I'm also in the Ego line, but the local Walmarts were updating their Hart 40V line and clearancing out the current gear this spring, and I found their multi-head string trimmer kit on clearance for $70 and the cultivator head for $30. The brush cutter head sold out before I could get one at $20, but I got one elsewhere at a smaller discount. They've worked pretty well so far.
How do you like the Hart 40v against your ego products?

The tiller works well and the brush cutter is borderline scary, but I can't speak to longevity or customer service. I'm familiar with EGO's customer service because I had issues with both a mower battery AND the mower itself (battery wouldn't charge, mower threw overheat warning light on startup). They replaced both under warranty, which is good, but the fact that both went tets-up isn't.

Any recommendations on pole saw? Seems like there's lots of options, with the bundle, carbon fiber or not, and extension options. Any particular model number anyone likes or doesn't like. I suppose it depends on how i need to reach as well? Finally, how useful is the 2.5Ah? I otherwise only have a submit 10 Ah for the mower.
While having a lot of Ego equipment, I decided on a dewalt for my pole saw. It's cheaper and comes with the two extensions. The Ego cost significantly more, and I'd still have to buy another extension.

A 20V pole saw should cut anything you need for that type of saw.

Nice, have some DeWalt too. Have a specific one you like?

Late response, but I have the regular one and 2 extensions. In hindsight, I'd have spent extra for the carbon fiber. All polesaws are heavy to some extent once you add extensions, but the battery is also pretty decently heavy. I haven't had any issues so far in about a year of ownership, but the lighter carbon fiber would've helped. Yeah, the cf extensions are $10 more, but it's not that much more.
