Great price, I had this last year and it was well worth it. I graduated years ago so wanted to bite while it was available.

Make sure you get the edition with Red Zone for $10 more.

Can you use any college student's info to get the discount? Hypothetically, of course.

Thanks, I tried that and I get to a screen with various languages and choose English and it enters a help center. Then I seem to just go around in circles and never find an actual place to chat...just help documents.
Just google "YouTube online chat". I just did and found the same page

This is a stupid question, but why would you care about local games on YouTube? You can just watch local games on your regular tv provider?
Some people don't have a local tv/cable package or an antenna.

The number of Subscribers they had last year was very disappointing. They got just about the same subscribers that DirecTV had. All the talk online about how many wanted Sunday Ticket if only they would provide it another way besides DirecTV turned out not to be true.

I wish they just had something for Redzone, I don't see myself watching any games that aren't already nationally televised, or my local team, but I do enjoy tuning into Redzone for fantasy football purposes.
I think you can do the with NFL+. I got a deal on it though my cellular provider and could watch the games on NFL channel and redzone on my phone and Xbox.

This may be a stupid question - but do you watch on YouTube TV or on YouTube?

Also FYI my old student email worked.

Another question - it says family sharing is not included… does that mean for RedZone too? I guess two situations: two family members watching RedZone or one family member watching Sunday Ticket and the other RedZone
You do not need YouTube TV. I don't have it and I used this deal just fine last season.

Would probably need to find a deal for that, don't see that they have a student plan. Currently it would be $100 for the nfl+ premium plan which includes redzone. If they had an option for $50, would make it better

It turned out to not be true as it was overpriced for the same experience as DirecTV. Even with this deal it's still more expensive with the student plan than previous.

this triggered a offer from AMEX for YouTube. $20 off for spending $58 or something (3 times). My total was $121 so hopefully it triggers twice.

Last year you could stream I know of at least 2 at a time. I believe they changed it after the fact a lot of people made a big fuss about it.

Edit: Student Plans do not include family sharing, and only include one signed-in device and one concurrent stream at a time.

Seems they have indeed changed it for this year...
This is how the student accounts worked from the beginning. Always been 1 stream.

I already bought ST + Redzone student a couple weeks ago where I didn't have to reverify, however I see in my account that "Student Status Expires August 27th". Wonder if it's going to try to verify again before the season starts, can't imagine they'd let people pay & resubscribe just to verify right before it starts and potentially have to issue refunds over a month after payment.
