Too bad my wife always refuses the look of these galvanized raised beds. I, on the other hand, don't like the appearance of cedar boards after the first year.

Last year I bought a couple of the oval shaped ones. Installed them this spring and they seem to hold up well. Now if i buy 2 of the rectangular ones, can I use these pieces to extend the oval ones I already have? Basically making them 3x12 instead of the current 3x6? Thanks
