Regular price is $599. Amazon often sells for $490-499. Coupon can be applied $66.75. Total of $424.15. Kept looking for this during amazon prime days to go on sale but never did. Last year it was $415 during amazon prime days. I have found some on eBay for as low as $430.

Got this for my parents back when Lowes had them for $300 with four 5ah batteries. Thankfully they've been lucky not needing to use it during hurricane season. It's fairly quiet but don't expect to power things like gas does. I've debated getting a solar panel to charge batteries if the power goes out for an extended time but they're still so expensive

I searched for "Lowes & Ego" and couldn't find your mentioned deal. That surely would have been a slick deal!! You aren't blowing smoke up our asses are you?

What?! $300 with 4 batteries? That's insane. When was this? I have alerts set up for EGO and never saw that.

It was a brickseek alert. If I had waited some others got it for under $200 with 4 batteries. Haven't gotten a good deal like that in a while though.

I just bought (5) string trimmer kits with battery and charger for $69 each at Lowe's. Was looking for some batteries and the batteries alone for 2amp are $179-199. Problem is, those are clearance deals that one gets lucky to find. Not avail to everyone in every store

It was slick back in January 2022 but it was a rare YMMV at $349+tax. I had some backlash from the gf for driving 3 hours to get it. Apparently it was $699 a few days prior but a few weeks later the few remaining dropped to sub $200.

Real deal however no time machine. Thanks to Brickseek

I love my Ego tools. But, what would the advantage in this PS be over something like an EcoFlow battery? I am guessing just the ability to use it outdoors?

If you already have the ego batteries then the ego is probably the route to go. If not then you may want to look at something like the ecoflow.

With the price of power station so low these days, I don't see the point of spending $400++ on something just so you can use your own batteries(and lowering it's life expectancy).
Case in point, a few weeks ago, you can get a 2000w/2000wh power station from woot for $500.
https://slickdeals.net/f/17574570-pongo-psn2200-portable-power-station-2000wh-lifepo4-battery-500?src=SiteSearchV2Algo

Those EGOs batteries aren't cheap and they are not Lifepo4 so if you keep using them with this unit, you will further lowering the life cycles.
Even if you have 4x 56v 8ah EGO batteries, that's still less than 2000wh capacity.
Versus having an separate unit that has it's own batteries and can be charged via solar for the around the same price is a no brainer.
Even better if you just need something for emergency, get a Pecron 1200w/614wh power station for only $265.

Yep, all the screamin deals on Ego was when HD was closing them out, clearance pricing where available, which meant driving an hour or more on occasion. lol
