This is for hard-wiring the camera to your fuse box if you don't want ugly dangling cigarette lighters all over your car. Includes a variety of fuse taps.
1) Pick a fuse between 10-30A
2) Original fuse you removed to put in add a fuse must be added to the bottom slot (closer to the legs of the add-a-fuse)
3) Use 2-5A fuse for the camera
4) DO NOT tap a fuse that provides critical car components. Use fuse for car radio, cigarette lighter, maybe windows.
5) ACC (yellow wire) goes to a fuse that is off when car is off
6) Red wire goes to an always on fuse.
7) Black wire goes to a metal nut for grounding.
This is a great video from Linustech about why the dash cam industry is horrible, Even the "top notch" 4k cameras can barely make out license plates and are not much better in video quality than average ones.
I have Garmins front and back in one car and Thinkware q800's in another and neither is much different. Unless you are directly behind the car in front (or back) and stopped at a light, you will NOT catch their license plate.
Trying to understand the inflated price and then a coupon on this product. The same camera with Hardwire kit is $169 . Is there a difference between the two?
I have an older Vantrue N2 from way back in 2018! This model is a big improvement with sharper video and rear dashcam capability. For the same price I paid for N2, I get an upgrade model with rear dashcam capability.
I've always just used the GPS for tracking my speed should it be needed in my defense, but does anyone have experience with how well it does for mapping your route? Google's map data points seem to be quite random when I check them.
There is an even newer sensor coming out that is even crisper and even less distortion. I'd wait. 🙄
I'm not sure if this is sarcasm. The post you quoted was referring to a well reviewed competing camera that's available now, is on sale ($99), and was on sale for even less ($86) on prime day.
I recently purchased this Vantrue E3 Dash Camera, and I couldn't be more pleased with its performance. The video quality is outstanding, capturing clear and sharp footage both day and night. The wide-angle lens ensures that I have a comprehensive view of the road, which gives me peace of mind while driving.
One feature that stands out is the user-friendly interface. Setting up the camera was a breeze, and navigating through the settings is intuitive. The camera also comes with a handy mobile app that allows me to easily download and review footage on my phone.
The built-in GPS is another excellent feature, providing accurate tracking of my routes and speed. This has been particularly useful for documenting long trips and ensuring I'm always aware of my driving habits.
What really impressed me is the dash cam's reliability. It automatically starts recording when I start the car and has a robust loop recording function, so I never have to worry about running out of storage space. The motion detection feature is also a great addition, offering extra security when my car is parked.
Overall, the Vantrue E3 Dash Camera has exceeded my expectations in every way. It's a high-quality, reliable, and feature-packed device that I would highly recommend to anyone in need of a dash cam.
Thank you vantrue 🤗
Dude clearly this dash cam changed this guy's life, and he has nothing but positive to say about it. It could not be any better. There's absolutely nothing that can be improved.
and clearly that's the honest vantruth.
I wish we had a deal site, that did not take any compensation from people selling. instead, it relied on ads and support from the people who are buying. why? because then it would have a interest in only giving us reliable deals. you could have metrics built in for reviews video reviews that are not fake, because you're looking at the product and people tell you you know what they liked and don't like, you could compound information about products, you could tie like products together to learn information about all of it together. you could track prices including coupons, so we all have an idea of what a good deal is and what's not. and automatically display that information. but what this will require is not having a conflict of interest. not receiving money from the people who would love to deceive you.

Premium quality build. The built-in Wi-Fi feature is excellent—on par with Nexar. Every car needs to have this. Excellent Quality video very crisp. 10/10

but honestly this looks like one of the models I have (I have 2, one is way older, looks like blackvue / tube design). set it and forget it, never had any issues and the static cling film thing works amazingly well in socal heat.
the older one is still installed and still works too (though the suction cup thing needs to be cleaned every so often unlike the film)
